My domain name has a Transfer Prohibited status and cannot be transferred

A Transfer Prohibited Status can either be automatically added by the Registry based upon the built-in rules, or manually added by the Registrar.

When a domain name is initially registered, there is a Transfer Prohibited Grace Period of 60 days, during which it cannot be transferred away from the current Registrar. This is to ensure proper payment of initial registration fees to the Registrar. In addition, the automated Registry applies the same 60 days Transfer Prohibited Grace Period after a domain name is transferred from one Registrar to another.

A Registrar can also manually apply a Client Transfer Prohibited status to a domain name, usually at the request of the Registrant.
