Nic AG is not responsible for determining the legality of a domain name registration.  In the event that a potential registrant registers a trademarked word, phrase, slogan or name as a domain name, Nic AG has no responsibility to prevent the registration or mediate disputes between a domain name holder and another party.

However, Nic AG actively discourages the registration of well know trademarks except to the valid holder of the mark, by denying such registration requests to anyone but the trademark holder or its representative. The Registrant MUST be the trademark holder, no matter who registered the domain name.
